Green Knights Second at Marian Invitational

FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College finished in second place at the Marian University Invitational, held over two days at Whispering Springs and Rolling Meadows golf courses.

The Green Knights shot a 316-309--625 to finish seven strokes behind Marian's 313-305--618. The St. Norbert "B" team shot a 337-306--643 to finish fourth overall. Marian's Ryonen Faris was the medalist shooting 71-74--145. A total of 49 golfers competed.

Alex Okray led St. Norbert, finishing in a tie for second place with a 74-78--153. Ben Socha finished tied for seventh with a 79-78--157. Nick Mueller was 11th with an 80-78--158.

Carson Torhorst carded rounds of 85-75--180 to finish in 15th place, while Joe Scherer tied for 22nd with an 82-82--164.

Adam Rhode led the "B" team with a 78-77--155 to finish in a tie for fourth place. Eric Bagg was tied for seventh with an 85-72--157. Bagg's Sunday round of 72 was the best score of the second round.
