Green Knights Tripped Up by MIAC Opponents

RIPON - St. Norbert College opened the Ripon College Tournament with a pair of matches against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents, but lost both to St. Mary's University and St. Catherine University in four sets at Storzer Center.

St. Mary's defeated St. Norbert 25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 25-18 and St. Catherine topped the Green Knights 28-30, 25-23, 25-12, 25-12.

Halie Ferry had 11 kills against St. Mary's, getting her kill total against one error in 21 attempts. Justice Janke and Hannah Johnshoy both had seven kills. Kaitlin Delahaut had 21 assists, while Lauren Lehman added 11 assists.

Aubree Antosch finished with 16 digs and Johnshoy posted a team-high eight blocks.

Against St. Catherine, Johnshoy had a team-high 12 kills and Ferry and Mckenzie Mazzolini had eight kills apiece. Delahaut had 11 assists for the Green Knights, while Emily Kapalko added 10 assists.

Antosch had 22 digs and Johnshoy added three blocks.
