Green Knights Fall to Pioneers in Double Overtime

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College lost in heartbreaking fashion for the second consecutive game as the Green Knights dropped a 2-1 double-overtime decision to Carroll University in a Midwest Conference game at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (4-4-1, 1-1 MWC) battled into the 109th minute with Carroll squared at 1-1, but the Pioneers' Caden Pruitt scored at the 108:24 mark to give the host the win.
Following a scoreless first half, Carroll took a 1-0 lead when Pruitt scored at the 46:52 mark. St. Norbert answered in the 55th minute, with Tyler Kassube scoring off an assist from Sam Lamers at 54:39.
Carroll outshot St. Norbert 14-7, but had a small edge in corner kicks at 8-7. Eddie Sanchez made eight saves for the Green Knights, while Brady Smith made one stop for the Pioneers.
