Three Earn All-Midwest Conference Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had three players named to the first team of the All-Midwest Conference team announced today by the league office.

Junior Tyler Kassube and sophomore Marco Delbecchi were selected as attackers, while senior Patrick Hehir was honored as a defender. Coach Derek Rhodes was also named the Midwest Conference Coach of the Year.

Kassube, an Appleton native and a Kimberly High School graduate, led the Green Knights in scoring this season with nine goals and nine assists for 27 points. He scored four game-winning goals.

Delbecchi, a Greenville native and a Hortonville High School graduate, was second on the team in scoring with seven goals and five assists for 19 points. He scored three game-winning goals.

Hehir, a Hickory Hills, Ill., native and a Marist High School graduate, led a St. Norbert defense that allowed just eight goals in 10 Midwest Conference games. He scored one goal and two assists for four points.

Rhodes, in his fourth season at St. Norbert, led the Green Knights to an 11-5-3 overall record and an 8-1-1 mark in the Midwest Conference. The Green Knights captured their first Midwest Conference championship since 2007.
