Artz Qualifies for NCAA National Meet as St. Norbert Places Eighth

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - St. Norbert College junior Erin Artz qualified for the NCAA Division III National Meet after turning in a sixth-place overall finish in leading the Green Knights to an eighth-place team showing at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional at Saukie Golf Course.

The Green Knights totaled 242 points to finish in eighth place, just 28 points behind sixth-place UW-Stout's 214 points. Washington University won the team title with 68 points, while UW-Eau Claire's Lucy Ramquist was the regional champion with a time of 21:16.

Artz finished with her sixth-place showing covering the 6,000-meter course in 21:24, just eight seconds off the top finisher's pace. Artz is the first St. Norbert female to qualify for the national meet since Mackenzie Weber in 2011. Artz is the fifth female national qualifier joining Julie Deyo, Jenny Scherer, Amanda Whipple and Weber.

Brittany Kozlowski finished in 42nd place with a time of 22:36, while Charlotte Walsh was 43rd with a time of 22:38.

Alyssa Price turned in a 69th-place finish with at time of 23:01, while Taylor Miller was 82nd in 23:17.
