BUFFALO, N.Y. - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten on its eight-game road trip and extended its overall winning streak to seven with a 4-0 win over Buffalo State University in the first game of a two-game non-conference series at Buffalo State Ice Arena.

The Green Knights (8-1), ranked No. 5 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, are now 6-0 on their scheduled eight-game road trip - their longest stretch of games away from home in 22 years.

St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead about midway through the first period when Brad Pung scored off an assist from Tyler Andrews at the 9:16 mark. The Green Knights had a major power play late in the first period, with a St. Norbert penalty cutting the time to three minutes, but did not score.

Buffalo State goaltender Mike DeLaVergne kept the Bengals (4-3-2) in the game, keeping the Green Knights off the scoreboard in the second period despite the visitors holding an 18-4 shots advantage in the middle 20 minutes.

The Green Knights broke through in the third period, when Pijus Rulevicius notched a power-play goal at 4:35. St. Norbert opened the lead to 3-0 when Roman Uchyn scored at 6:26. Noah Nelson scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season when he tallied the final goal of the game at 15:26.

Tyler Andrews registered two assists for the Green Knights' lone multi-point game.

St. Norbert outshot Buffalo State 38-17. Tony Kujava made all 17 saves for his second shutout of the season and the seventh of his career. DeLaVergne made 34 stops for Buffalo State.

The Green Knights were 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Bengals were 0-for-5.
