St. Norbert Places Third at UW-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College finished in third place in the team standings at the UW-Oshkosh Challenge at Kolf Sports Center.

The Green Knights ended the meet with 79 points to finish in third place out of nine teams. Oshkosh won the team title with 170 points and UW-Whitewater was second with 137 points.

Jon Gregory won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.41 seconds, a time currently 15th best in Division III this season. Ryan Grandlic was third in 49.63 seconds and Tyler Lewis sixth in 50.23 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay of Jack Feuerstein, Grandlic, Gregory and Lewis won with a time of 3:20.47, currently the tenth best time in Division III this season.

Jacob Wittmershaus finished in third place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:02.55 while Dan Reigh followed in fifth place with a time of 9:08.14.

Brad Boockmeier ended in fourth place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.63 seconds. Boockmeier was seventh in the long jump with a distance of 20-10 1/2 and eighth in the shot put with a toss of 48-1 1/4.

Evan Broyles placed fourth in the weight throw with a distance of 51-10. Dominic DiBenedetto was seventh in the shot put at 48-6 1/4.

Kevin Schlichter was fifth in the long jump with a distance of 21-0 3/4. Travis Heschke was fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 38-8 1/4 and Matt Robinson was eighth with a distance of 37-5 1/4.

Colin O'Brien placed eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.09 seconds.
