Four Green Knights Named to All-MWC Team

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had four players receive recognition while coach Connie Tilley was named the league's Coach of the Year on the All-Midwest Conference Team announced by the league office.

Junior guard Regan Carmichael and senior guard Stephanie Weigman were both named first-team All-MWC, while junior guards Brianna Byrne and Jill Kleiman both received second-team All-MWC accolades.

Carmichael, a Park Ridge, Ill., native, is averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, both team highs. Carmichael is shooting 40.0 percent from beyond the three-point arc and also has a team-high 101 assists this season.

Weigman, a Denmark native, is averaging 10.3 points per game this season while shooting 48.2 percent from the floor. Weigman is also averaging 4.6 rebounds per game.

Byrne, a De Pere native, is averaging 10.8 points per game while shooting 45.7 percent from the floor. She is also averaging 3.0 rebounds per game.

Kleiman, a Kewaunee native, is netting 7.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. She is shooting 46.2 percent from the floor and 39.6 percent from beyond the three-point arc.

Tilley led the Green Knights to an 18-0 season and the Midwest Conference Tournament championship, the first team to run the table in the MWC since Beloit in 1997-98. It is Tilley's eighth MWC Coach of the Year honor.

St. Norbert will enter the NCAA Division III Tournament with a 21-4 overall record.
