Green Knights Fall in NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs Championship Game

ADRIAN, Mich. - St. Norbert College fell behind by two goals after two period and couldn't get back to even and dropped a 4-1 decision to Adrian College in the championship game of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Playoffs at Arrington Ice Arena.
The Green Knights (23-3-2) are expected to receive an at-large berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament when the bracket is revealed at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Adrian (24-3-1) got the important first goal when Bryan Yim intercepted a St. Norbert turnover and cashed in with 18 minutes 49 seconds gone by in the first period.
The Bulldogs added to their lead when Taylor McCloy scored a power-play goal at the 16:07 mark of the second period. Adrian would carry its 2-0 lead into the second intermission.
St. Norbert's Tanner Froese got the Green Knights back into the game when he scored an unassisted shorthanded goal with 7:46 remaining in regulation time. Adrian scored the next goal, however, when Connor Armour scored on a 4-on-4 situation with 3:13 remaining. Jeremy Olinyk's empty-net goal with 10 seconds left closed out the scoring.
Erik Cooper and Blake Thompson were named to the All-Tournament Team for this season's Harris Cup Playoffs.
T.J. Black made 31 saves for the Green Knights. Kevin Entmaa made 23 saves in the first 31:49 of action before giving way to Tyler Parks, who finished the game with 15 saves.
St. Norbert outshot Adrian 39-35. The Green Knights were 0-for-6 on the power play and the Bulldogs were 1-for-8.
