Three Green Knights Qualify for NCAA Indoor Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College will have three athletes competing at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship this weekend in Grinnell, Iowa.
Junior Brittany Kozlowski will compete in the 800-meter and 1-mile runs, while junior Erin Artz will run in both the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs. Junior Sam Morateck also qualified for the high jump.
Kozlowski is the No. 7 seeding in both events. Kozlowski's qualifying times in the 800 and mile were 2:13.09 and 4:58.18, respectively. The mile prelims are 1:45 p.m. Friday with the final set for 1:40 p.m. Saturday. The 800 prelims are 4:20 p.m. Friday and the final is at 3:55 p.m. Saturday. Kozlowski was seventh in the 800 at the 2015 indoor championship.
Artz is the No. 3 seeding in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:15.29 and the No. 11 seeding in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:54.63. The 5,000-meter run will be held at 5:50 p.m. Friday and the 3,000-meter run at 4:40 p.m. Saturday.
Morateck is the No. 10 seeding in the high jump with a height of 5 feet 7 inches. The high jump will be contested starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
