Kozlowski Qualifies for NCAA 800-Meter Run Finals

GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College's Brittany Kozlowski qualified for the finals of the 800-meter run at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship at Grinnell College's Bear Athletic Center.

Kozlowski finished with a time of 2:12.48 in her heat to enter Saturday's final with the fifth-best time. Ohio Northern's Emily Richards had the best preliminary time with a time of 2:10.52. The 800-meter championship is scheduled for 3:55 p.m. Saturday.

Kozlowski placed 13th in the 1-mile run during preliminary races and did not qualify for Saturday's championship. Kozlowski turned in a time of 5:06.46.

Erin Artz competed 5,000-meter run and finished in 15th place. Artz finished with a time of 17:49.83. Stevens Institute's Amy Regan was the national champion with a time of 16:48.62.

Artz will compete in the 3,000-meter run at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, while Sam Morateck awaits the long jump at 10 a.m. Saturday.
