Cooper, Thompson Named to AHCA All-American Team

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - St. Norbert College senior forward Erik Cooper and junior defenseman Blake Thompson were honored as All-Americans on the Division II-III CCM American Hockey Coaches Association All-America Team, announced at the Frozen Four's pre-tournament banquet.
Cooper is a first-team All-America selection, while Thompson was a second-team All-America honoree. It is the first All-America honor for both.
Cooper, an Anchorage, Alaska, native, was named NCHA Player of the Year and a first-team All-NCHA choice. Cooper, who has scored in 27 of 29 games this season, leads the Green Knights in scoring with 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points.
Thompson, a Listowel, Ontario, native, was also a first-team All-NCHA selection. Thompson leads the St. Norbert blueliners in scoring with 20 points on two goals and 18 assists.
St. Norbert now has 30 hockey first-team AHCA All-America selections, and has had at least one first-team All-America honoree for 19 consecutive years - a Division III record.
