Green Knights Can't Slow Down Benedictine

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College couldn't hold an early lead and dropped a 14-6 decision to Benedictine University on its sixth game of its annual Florida trip.

The Green Knights (2-4) scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Adam Enwiya had an RBI groundout and Sean Grant followed with a run-scoring triple. Grant then scored on an infield error for St. Norbert's third run.

Benedictine would scored the game's next nine runs to take a 9-3 lead, including four runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings. St. Norbert would get a run back on a Jason Malkowski RBI single in the fifth inning.

The Eagles would scored three runs in the sixth inning and two more in the eighth inning. Kevin Carrell scored for St. Norbert on an error and Nolan Matson had a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning.

St. Norbert had nine hits, including two apiece from Grant and Derek Klegin.
