Green Knights Drop Close Contest to Dominican

DE PERE - St. Norbert College couldn't crack the scoring column and lost a 1-0 decision to Dominican University in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (1-1) and Stars battled to a scoreless first half before Dominican (1-1) scored the game's only goal early in the second half.

Dominican's Tania Paez fed an open Alyssa Messina, who converted to the far post for the match's lone score.

Dominican outshot St. Norbert 7-3 and also had a 5-2 edge on corner kicks. Vanessa Gonzalez had one save for the Stars, while Maddie Plinska made three stops for the Green Knights.
