Green Knights Have Record Tournament at Benedictine

WEST CHICAGO, Ill. - St. Norbert College set a school record for best 18- and 36-hole rounds while placing fifth out of 11 teams at the Benedictine University Invitational at St. Andrew's Golf and Country Club.

The Green Knights finished with a 372-338--710 to finish fifth. UW-Whitewater won the team title with a 345-325--670. Robert Morris University's Pia Serrano won the individual title with an 83-72--155.

St. Norbert's second-day round of 338 broke the previous school record by 16 strokes. The old standard of 354 was set on Sept. 22, 2009 at Royal St. Patrick's Golf Links in Wrightstown. The Green Knights' 710 eclipsed the previous two-day best of 724, which was previously reached twice.

Jessica Dyksterhouse paced the Green Knights with an eighth-place finish of 87-82--172. Elizabeth Bobinski finished tied for 12th place with a 91-83--174, while Kelsey Motto finished in a tie for 28th place with a 98-84--182.

Amy Smits finished in 30th place with a score of 96-89--185, while Kayley Sjoholm finished tied for 40th with a score of 105-91--196.
