St. Norbert Drops One-Goal Game at Concordia

MEQUON - St. Norbert College cut into a two-goal deficit but couldn't get the equalizer as the Green Knights dropped a 2-1 decision to Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Ozaukee Ice Center.
St. Norbert (0-2, 0-1 NCHA) fell behind 2-0 after the first period. The Falcons (2-1, 1-0) got goals from Kristen Kennedy just 3:15 into the game and Lexi Holman added another marker at the 15:51 mark.
That lead held up until St. Norbert's Reaghan Chadwick scored her third goal of the season with a power-play marker at 5:35 of the third period. Natasha Smith assisted.
St. Norbert had two power-play chances in the final 10 minutes of play but couldn't get back to even.
The Green Knights outshot the Falcons 22-18. Brianna Kelly made 16 saves for the Green Knights, while Christina Pattengale made 21 stops for the Falcons.
St. Norbert was 1-for-5 on the power play, while Concordia was 0-for-3.
