St. Norbert Settles For Tie at Lawrence

APPLETON - St. Norbert College couldn't hold a late lead and ended up tied 1-1 with Lawrence University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Appleton Family Ice Center.

The Green Knights (8-2-1, 5-1-1 NCHA) held a 1-0 lead for most of the game until the Vikings' Nick Felan tied the game with 4:24 remaining in regulation time.

St. Norbert outshot the Vikings 50-23 for the game and 5-0 in overtime but couldn't get the game-winning goal.

The Green Knights scored their only goal of the game on a marker by Chris Rygus off an assist from Ross Pavek with 24 seconds left in the first period.

St. Norbert committed eight penalties which led to seven Lawrence power plays, including three in the third period. The Vikings were 0-for-7 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-4.

T.J. Black made 22 saves for St. Norbert, while Evan Cline made 49 stops for the Vikings.
