GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College had little trouble getting back on the winning track with a 71-32 win over Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference game at UW-Green Bay's Kress Center.

The Green Knights (3-3, 2-1 MWC), who saw their 30-game unbeaten streak against MWC opponents end in a loss Saturday at Illinois College, led 33-20 at halftime and pulled away with a big second half.

St. Norbert went on a 9-0 run late in the first quarter to pull away from an 8-8 tie. Jill Kleiman got things going with a basket, followed by baskets from Regan Carmichael and Sarah Ratajczyk. Carmichael then finished the flurry with a 3-pointer before the Green Knights settled on a 17-10 lead after the first quarter.

The Green Knights maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second quarter before leading 33-20 at halftime. St. Norbert scored the first nine points of the second half to take control.

Brianna Byrne opened the period with a 3-pointer, followed by a Macie Zurfluh layup. Sarah Rataczyk split a pair of free throws and Christine Olijnyk buried a 3-pointer with 7:10 left in the period for a 42-20 lead.

St. Norbert never saw its lead dip under 20 points the rest of the game.

The Green Knights shot 38.9 percent (28-for-72) from the floor. Byrne led all scorers with 12 points, while Carmichael added 11. A total of 12 players reached the scoring column for St. Norbert.

Lawrence shot 25.5 percent (13-for-51) from the floor. Olivia Hoesley led the Vikings with eight points.
