GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College lost its lead late in the game and couldn't quite get all the way back in a 91-87 loss to Grinnell College in a Midwest Conference game at Darby Gym.

St. Norbert led 77-76 with just over five minutes remaining before the Pioneers went on an 8-0 run to take an 84-77 lead with 4:23 to go.

The Green Knights managed to cut the deficit down to 88-87 with 39 seconds left after a Ben Bobinski 3-pointer. Grinnell's Vinny Curta scored with eight seconds left for a 90-87 lead. St. Norbert's potential game-tying 3-pointer by D.J. DeValk was off the mark as the Pioneers claimed the win.

St. Norbert shot 56.6 percent (30-for-53) from the floor and was 26-for-32 (81.3 percent) at the free-throw line, but also committed 25 turnovers. Bobinski and Mitchell Reinthaler had 20 points apiece, while Taylor Penn added 15 points.

Grinnell shot 42.5 percent (31-for-73) from the floor and was 18-for-47 (38.3 percent) from beyond the three-point arc. Curta led the Pioneers with 20 points.
