St. Norbert Romps Past Edgewood

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College earned its second dual match win in as many outings this season as the Green Knights posted an 8-1 win over Edgewood College in a non-conference match at Four Seasons Tennis Club.

The Green Knights (2-0) won all three doubles points to take a 3-0 lead.

Ben Vande Zande and John Zanotti topped Brian Davenport and Evan Stone 8-6 at No. 1. Alex Vandenberg and Zach Simonet teamed up to best Jaime Benevides and Andrew Martinez 8-4 at No. 2. Kahlo Vue and Joe Oleniczak were extended in their match at No. 3 but claimed a 9-8 (7-5) win over Sabastion Seeger and Brandon Glock.

Vande Zande defeated Davenport in three sets at No. 1 singles, registering a 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 10-6 triumph.

Brady Hicks beat Benevides 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3, while Vandenberg topped Martinez 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4.

Simonet topped Seeger 7-5, 6-4 at No. 5, and Jordan Crump beat Glock 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
