Four Green Knights Earn All-MWC Mention

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior guards Brianna Byrne, Regan Carmichael and Jill Kleiman as well as coach Connie Tilley all earned recognition on the All-Midwest Conference Team announced by the league office.

Byrne and Carmichael were first-team All-MWC selections while Kleiman was a second-team All-MWC honoree. Tilley was named the conference's Coach of the Year.

Byrne, a De Pere native, is averaging 11.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 42.5 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Byrne is currently sixth in career scoring at St. Norbert with 1,220 points. This is Byrne's first first-team All-MWC honor after being named second team in each of the last two seasons.

Carmichael, a Park Ridge, Ill., native, is averaging 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Carmichael is making her second consecutive appearance on the All-MWC first team.

Kleiman, a Kewaunee native, is averaging 6.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Kleiman is a second-team All-MWC selection for the second consecutive year after being tabbed first-team All-MWC as a sophomore.

Tilley was selected MWC Coach of the Year for the ninth time.

St. Norbert enters the NCAA Division III Tournament 20-5 overall and will face Washington (Mo.) University in a first-round game at 7:30 p.m. Friday in St. Louis.
