St. Norbert Runs to Wisconsin Private College Championship Title

RIPON - St. Norbert College totaled an impressive 242 points to run away with the Wisconsin Private College Track and Field Championships team title at Ingalls Field.

St. Norbert easily outpaced runner-up Concordia University Wisconsin's 122 points. Milwaukee School of Engineering was third with 95 points.

The Green Knights got a top-two finish in the 400-meter dash with Clarissa Jauregui winning at 58.72 seconds and Maddie LeBrun taking second at 58.92 seconds.

St. Norbert had three of the top four finishers in the 800-meter run. Haley Joosten was first at 2:20.37, while Taylor Domro was second at 2:21.17. Hailey Ruplinger was fourth in 2:25.64.

Tori Nelsen won the 10,00-meter run in 40:33.77, while Alyssa Wegner was second at 41:27.94. Abby Janto won the 5,000-meter run in 19:28.19, while Kelly Heniff was third at 19:46.37.

Brittany Kozlowski was second in the 1,500-meter run in 4:54.25, while Erin Artz was third at 5:00.96.

Haidyn Mueller was first in the 100-meter hurdles at 16.46 seconds, while Hayley Winzenried was fourth at 17.33 seconds. Peyton McCauley was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.58.

Samantha Morateck won the high jump with a clearance of 5 feet 5 inches, while Brianna Alexander was third at 4-11. Kirsten Carrigan was fourth in the pole vault at 10-0.

Mallory Nickerson won the discus with a heave of 132 feet. Kristina Herman was third at 123-9 and Savanna Smith fourth at 119-5. Herman won the shot put at 40-11 3/4, while Hannah Kruse was second at 36-10 1/4. Smith was third in the hammer throw at 131-10, while Kruse was fourth at 130-10.

Sarah Parbs was second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:16.93. Erin Lang was third in the javelin throw at 103-4, while Kaitlyn Hintz was fourth at 99-11. LeBrun was fourth in the 200-meter dash in 28.01 seconds.
