St. Norbert Blanks Knox

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College won every match in its Midwest Conference dual with Knox College to post a 9-0 victory at Four Seasons Tennis Club.

The Green Knights (7-6, 2-3 MWC) got off to a solid start in doubles play. Ben Vande Zande and Brady Hicks topped Minh Le and Jared Schwarz 8-3 at No. 1. Alex Vandenberg and Zach Simonet beat Ganexh Uppalapu and Errol Kaylor 8-0 at No. 2, while John Zanotti and Joe Oleniczak also blanked Jeffrey Xue and Mahmood Ali Kahn 8-0 at No. 3.

Vande Zande beat Le 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Zanotti, Hicks, Vandenberg and Jordan Crump all won their matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores over Schwarz, Yppalapu, Kaylor and Xue at Nos. 2-5 singles, respectively.

Matt La Violette closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Khan at No. 6 singles.
