St. Norbert Sweeps Concordia, UW-River Falls

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College got back on the positive side of the ledger with a pair of non-conference wins over Concordia University Wisconsin and UW-River Falls at Western Racquet and Fitness Club.

The Green Knights (18-11) topped Concordia 6-3 before sweeping River Falls 9-0.

St. Norbert won two doubles points against Concordia. Anna Gosz and Ashley Randazzo topped Hannah Tresedder and Michaela Wagner 8-3 at No. 2. Katherine Ake and Stephanie Doerfert blanked Sabine Jacobsen and Rebekah Spiegelhoff 8-0 at No. 3.

Elizabeth Manlick outlasted Ashley Solberg 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 at No. 1 singles. Ake beat Bailey Kelly 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2, while Randazzo beat Wagner 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4. Doerfert topped Jacobson 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 at No. 6.

Against River Falls, Manlick and Meg Witt beat Brittany Asfeld and Krista Haglund 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Randazzo and Gosz topped Anna Ebensperger and Hannah Andress 8-2 at No. 2, while Ake and Catherine Schaupp defeated Karli Helland and Aliza Doherty 8-2 at No. 3.

Manlick beat Asfeld 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Ake topped Haglund 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, while Gosz blanked Ebensperger 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3.

Randazzo claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win over Andress at No. 4, and Witt beat Doherty 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5. Doerfert beat Helland 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6.
