Green Knights Romp to Alumni Meet Title

DE PERE - St. Norbert College rolled up 208 points to win the team title of the St. Norbert College Alumni Invitational at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights easily outdistanced Ripon College, which was in second place with 79 points.

St. Norbert took first and second place in both short sprints. Colin O'Brien won with a time of 11.06 seconds, while Adam Weigman was second in 11.11 seconds. Ryan Grandlic claimed the 200-meter dash in 22.17 seconds, while O'Brien was second in 22.20.

Sam Stelloh was first in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles in 16.23 and 57.80 seconds, respectively.

The Green Knights' 4x100-meter relay of Adam Weigman, O'Brien, Frank Scandin and Tyler Lewis won in 43.08 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay of Evan Watzka, Grandlic, Lewis and Michael DeGroot turned in a time of 3:25.85.

Max Schermacher won the pole vault at 12 feet 11 1/2 inches. Dominic DiBenedetto won the shot put at 47-2 1/2.

DeGroot was second in the 400-meter dash in 50.99 seconds. Grandlic was second in the javelin throw at 151 feet.

Andrew Hebbring was second in the 10,000-meter run in 37:07.85, while Matt Holloway was third in 38:30.32.

Ben Behling was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:27.21. Noah Kleiman was third in the high jump at 5-10 3/4. Samuel Fletcher was third in the long jump at 20-5 3/4. Kevin Schlichter placed third in the triple jump at 41-10 1/2.
