St. Norbert Finishes in Third Place at MWC Championship

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in third place at the Outdoor Track and Field Championship held at Knox College's Turner Track and Trevor Field.

St. Norbert's two relays both won conference championships.

The 4x100-meter relay of Colin O'Brien, Adam Weigman, Jon Gregory and Ryan Grandlic won with a time of 42.02 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay of Gregory, Evan Watzka, Tyler Lewis and Grandlic won with a time of 3:18.75.

O'Brien was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.11 seconds, while Gregory was fourth at 22.54 seconds and Michael DeGroot fifth at 22.64 seconds.

Grandlic was second in the 400-meter dash at 48.36 seconds, while Lewis was fourth at 49.87 seconds and DeGroot sixth at 50.93 seconds. Grandlic was also second in the javelin throw with a toss of 162 feet 10 inches, while Lewis was sixth at 153-11.

Noah Kleiman was tied for second place in the high jump at 6-0 3/4. Bright Boachie was eighth with a jump of 5-8 3/4.

Andrew LeMay was third in the 800-meter run at 1:57.92, while Watzka was fifth at 1:58.31 and Andrew Brath eighth at 2:00.92.

Dominic DiBenedetto was third in the shot put with a distance of 50 feet. He later added a sixth-place showing in the hammer throw at 148-1.

Max Schermacher was fourth in the pole vault at 12-11 3/4, while Frank Scandin was fifth at 12-6. Nathan King was fourth in the discus at 130-7.

Kleiman was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles at 56.85 seconds, while Sam Stelloh was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.78 seconds.

Matthew McKendry was fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:27.64, while Ben Behling was sixth at 10.29.74.

Tyler Lemens was fifth in the long jump at 21-3 1/4, while Travis Heschke was seventh at 20-9.
