DE PERE - St. Norbert College recovered quickly from an early 10-point deficit to post a 73-57 win over Beloit College in a Midwest Conference game at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

The Green Knights (10-2, 5-0 MWC) found themselves in another early hole when Beloit made six of its first 10 field-goal attempts to take an 18-8 lead just over seven minutes into the game. St. Norbert countered with a 24-5 run over the next 8 1/2 minutes to take command.

Connor Curtis scored 10 consecutive points for the Green Knights early in the run, with a shot from the paint giving St. Norbert its first lead at 22-21 with 6:55 left in the half. D.J. DeValk's 3-pointer put the Green Knights up seven, while Joe Lemon's basket at 4:24 pushed St. Norbert ahead 32-23. St. Norbert extended its lead to 40-28 at halftime.

St. Norbert scored on its first four possessions of the second half, fueled by a pair of Taylor Penn 3-pointers. Penn's second trey gave St. Norbert a 40-31 edge with 17:39 left. Beloit would eventually get back to within 13 point at 55-42 with 9:44 to go, but a 10-0 run by St. Norbert capped by a Drew Yetka 3-pointer effectively decided the outcome.

The Green Knights shot 56.4 percent (31-for-55) from the floor. Curtis and Mitchell Reinthaler had 18 points apiece, while Penn added 11 points and Lemon 10 points. St. Norbert also had a 35-28 rebounding advantage.

Beloit shot 37.5 percent (21-for-56) from the floor and was 9-for-28 (32.1 percent) from beyond the three-point arc. Cody Risseeuw had a team-high 16 points, while Tristan Shoup added 12 points.
