St. Norbert Falls to Loras

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College couldn't stay out of the big inning and dropped an 11-2 decision to Loras College at Lake Myrtle Complex.

The Green Knights (2-3) yielded four-run innings in the third and seventh frames and three runs in the eighth inning to the Duhawks (8-2).

St. Norbert cut its deficit to 4-1 with an Andy Peterik solo home run in the third inning. The Green Knights got a run closer in the fifth inning when Sean Grant tripled and scored on a single by Zach Raeder.

Grant was 2-for-2 for the only multi-hit game for the Green Knights.

Brad Szymusiak started and took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing four runs with one strikeout in 2 1/3 innings pitched. Bryce Braspennickx had a solid long-relief outing, allowing four runs in 4 1/3 innings with two strikeouts.
