St. Norbert Offense Goes Cold Against Concordia

DE PERE - St. Norbert College was held to five hits in a 6-1 loss to Concordia University Wisconsin in a non-conference game at Larry Van Alstine Field.

The Green Knights (10-4), who had an eight-game winning streak snapped in the loss, scratched out their lone run in the fourth inning. Tyler Banovich reached on an infield single and advanced to second on a throwing error. Sean Grant then singled to left-center field to bring home Banovich and tie the game 1-1.

The Falcons (10-6) broke the game open with four runs on four hits in the fifth inning to take a 5-1 lead. Concordia added an insurance run in the ninth inning.

Grant finished 3-for-3 for the Green Knights.

Jason Malkowski took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing five runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings.
