Green Knights Win Twilight Meet

DE PERE - St. Norbert College got its outdoor season off to a solid start by winning the team title at the St. Norbert Twilight at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights totaled 212 points, finishing ahead of three NCAA Division II schools. Michigan Tech University was second with 164 points, while Northern Michigan University was third with 156 points. Carroll University (71.5 points), Wisconsin Lutheran College (65) and Lake Superior State University (53) followed.

Morgan McClone (400-meter run), Sarah Parbs (10,000-meter run) and Graceanne Tarsa (pole vault) all picked up event championships for St. Norbert. McClone won the 400 with a time of 1:01.23, while Parbs posted a time of 40:21.93 in the 10k. Tarsa cleared a height of 10 feet 6 3/4 inches in the pole vault.

Elisabeth Klumpyan was second in the 5,000-meter run in 20:23.49, while Elle Dannecker was third in 21:15.61. Gretchen Price was second in the 10k with a time of 40:26.74 and Kelly Heniff followed in third place at 10:31.71.

Megan Cibulka was second in the 800-meter run at 2:27.47, while Tatiana Johnson was fourth in 2:31.34. Peyton McCauley was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.77, and the 4x400-meter relay was second in 4:20.36.

Hannah Kruse was second in the shot put at 37-9 3/4 and fourth in the discus at 108-2. Savanna Smith was second in the discus at 111-4, third in the shot put at 37-6 3/4 and fourth in the hammer throw at 130-2. Kristina Herman was fourth in the shot put at 36-0 3/4 and third in the discus at 110-9.

Emmy Larson was second in the high jump at 4-11, while Kirsten Carrigan was second in the pole vault at 10-6 3/4.

The St. Norbert 4x100-meter relay was third in 53.03 seconds. Danielle Harris added a fourth-place finish in the javelin throw at 91-5.
