Green Knights Charge to Third at Lake Forest Invitational

BEACH PARK, Ill. - St. Norbert College had its best showing of the spring season with a third-place finish out of 12 teams at the Lake Forest College Forester Invitational at Thunderhawk Golf Club.

The Green Knights carded a 308, 12 strokes behind Carthage College's 296. Carthage's Matt Meneghetti was the medalist with a two-under par 70. A total of 67 golfers competed. It marked St. Norbert's final round before the 54-hole Midwest Conference Championship starting Thursday in Rockford, Ill.

Eric Bagg finished in second place with a one-under par 71, the Green Knights' first below-par round of the 2017-18 season. Jack Markham tied for fourth place with a one-over park 73.

Jack Lund finished tied for 25th place with an 80, while Luke Karakas was tied for 41st place with an 84. Jonathan Cone and Jack Mannebach were both tied for 48th place with an 85.
