Green Knights Rally Past Dominican

DE PERE - St. Norbert College rallied from a one-set deficit to post a thrilling 3-2 win over Dominican University in a non-conference match at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center. The Green Knights topped the Stars by scores of 25-22, 22-25, 15-25, 25-21, 15-12.

St. Norbert held an 18-12 lead in the fourth set only to see Dominican cut the deficit down to 19-17 before the Green Knights closed out the set win. The Green Knights held a 13-11 lead in the fifth set but Dominican pulled to within one, but the host would close out the match with the last two points to earn their first win of the young season.

The Green Knights hit .172 in the match, getting 63 kills against 30 errors in 192 attempts. Grace Baumann had a team-high 18 kills, while Halie Ferry added 13 kills and Lexi Van Hiel 10 kills. Emily Rohloff finished with 28 assists and three service aces, while Danielle Dolan added 22 assists.

Jaisah Lee finished with 23 digs, while Baumann had 22 digs and Ferry 20 digs.

Dominican hit .207 with 55 kills against 19 errors in 174 attempts. Gabija Sinickaite had a match-high 20 kills against two errors in 44 attempts for the Stars. Megan Parker finished with 32 digs.
