DE PERE - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Carthage College in the first game of the St. Norbert College Invitational at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (4-0) got the early jump when Ben Prange converted his fourth goal of the season when he took a pass from Brandon DiOrio and lifted a high, fading shot past Carthage goalkeeper Nike Mavrogiannis. Prange's touch snuck just inside the far post.

St. Norbert held the lead throughout the rest of the first half and also caught a break when a Carthage player was sent off on a straight red card in the 44th minute. But the Red Men were able to tie the score early in the second half when Ivan Esquivel converted a penalty kick at 51:37.

The Green Knights pulled ahead for good when Logan Block scored his third goal of the season off an assist from Prange. Block's header went over Mavrogiannis and into the net at 55:53.

Carthage held a 10-6 shots advantage but St. Norbert held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks. The Green Knights also led the fouls column 19-12.

Ben Holtzen earned the win in net with one save in almost 56 minutes, while Josh Koleske made two stops in 34 minutes of relief.
