Green Knights Finish Fifth at Carthage Private School Meet

KENOSHA - The St. Norbert College men's track team placed fifth among 15 teams at the Carthage College Private College Invitational.

The Green Knights registered 45 points to place in a tie for fifth with Ripon. North Central won the meet with a whopping 307.5 points, followed by Carroll's 78.5, Carthage's 68.5 and Milwaukee School of Engineering's 52.5.

Sophomore Paul Leeman had a pair of top-four finishes. Leeman placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 43 feet 8 inches, and also was fourth in the high jump at 5-11.5.

Freshman Dann Schneider placed third in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.83 seconds. Senior Jeff Pentek was third in the 3,000-meter run with a run of 8:50.57, narrowly finishing behind a pair of North Central runners for the top two places - and was 3.5 seconds out of first.

Senior Alex Albers rounded out St. Norbert's top finishers with a fifth-place showing in the pole vault at 13-11.75 and was also sixth in the 55-meter hurdles at 8.67 seconds.
