Thompson-Meyers on Fred Mitchell Award Watch List

DE PERE - Senior kicker Spenser Thompson-Meyers has been named to the 2018 Fred Mitchell Award September Watch List. He is one of 21 players on the Watch List for the award, which is given to the top kicker in FCS, Division II, Division IIIâ€ˆand NAIAâ€ˆfootball.

Thompson-Meyers is perfect on 32 placements so far this season.â€ˆHe is 23-for-23 on point-after attempts and is 9-for-9 on field-goal tries.

His 34 career field goals, a St. Norbert record, is currently the most by an active Division IIIâ€ˆkicker. His 150 successful extra-point attempts, second in St. Norbert history, is third-most currently in Division III.

Thompson-Meyers has 254 career points, which is currently ninth in Division IIIâ€ˆamong all active players. He is 48 points shy of matching the school record of 302 set by Casey Meehan from 2002-05.

The award winner will be announced in mid-December.
