MEQUON - Kurt Black's goal in the final minute of overtime pushed St. Norbert College past Concordia University Wisconsin 3-2 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opener for both teams at Ozaukee Ice Center.

St. Norbert (2-0, 1-0 NCHA), ranked No. 1 in the USCHO.com and D3hockey.com Division III Polls, extended its winning streak to 14 games. The Green Knights also won for the 11th time in their last 12 overtime games not ending in a tie.

Black scored at 4:21 of overtime to push the Green Knights to victory, scoring off assists from Roman Uchyn and Keegan Milligan. Uchyn fed the puck to the left side of the slot for Black, who finished for his second marker of the year.

The Green Knights had to battle from behind to earn the win. Concordia jumped ahead early with a goal from Nick Guerra at the 3:21 mark of the first period. The Falcons had a chance to boost their lead late in the first period, but T.J. Black turned away a penalty shot with 15:40 gone by.

St. Norbert got back to even early in the second when Riley Christensen scored just 1:35 into the period for his second goal of the season. The Green Knights took a 2-1 lead when Brad Pung scored a 5-on-3 power-play goal at the 7:30 mark.

That goal would hold up until Guerra tied the game at 6:44 of the third period.

Dominick Sacco registered two assists for the only multi-point game for the Green Knights.

St. Norbert outshot Concordia 33-25, including 4-0 in overtime. Black made 23 saves for the Green Knights, while Dakota Delbridge turned away 30 shots for the Falcons.

The Green Knights were 1-for-4 on the power play, while Concordia was 1-for-3.
