St. Norbert Season Ends in MWC Tournament Championship

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College saw its season come to a close with a 3-1 loss to Cornell College in the championship match of the Midwest Conference Tournament at Small Multi-Sport Center.

The Green Knights (13-15), who were playing in the MWC Tournament championship for the 11th consecutive season, lost to the Rams 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-20.

St. Norbert hit .164 for the match, getting 46 kills and 22 errors in 146 attempts. The Green Knights had their best offensive set in the second set, getting 15 kills with four errors in 35 attempts.

Grace Baumann had a match-high 20 kills to lead the Green Knights. Lexie Van Hiel had 11 kills and Halie Ferry nine kills. Danielle Dolan registered 18 assists and Emily Rohloff added 17 assists.

Jaisah Lee finished with a team-high 19 digs, while Baumann finished with 15 digs, Ferry 13 digs and Rohloff 11 digs. Van Hiel added four blocks while Dolan and Haley Bartz had three apiece.

Cornell hit .279 for the match, getting 59 kills with 16 errors in 154 attempts. Nicole Ciari led the Rams with 18 kills.
