Green Knights Can't Hold On at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - St. Norbert College carried a 3-0 lead into the third period at Adrian College but couldn't hold on as the Bulldogs mounted a furious rally to clip the Green Knights 4-3 in overtime in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Arrington Ice Arena.

Bryan Yim pushed Adrian past the Green Knights, getting an extra-attacker goal at 18:41 of the third period and then scoring on a wraparound 1:45 into overtime for the game-winner.

St. Norbert jumped ahead early on a goal by Dominick Sacco 4:55 into the game, which held up into first intermission. The Green Knights added goals by Peter Bates at 4:10 of the second period and Sacco again at 18:49 of the second.

Adrian would push back when Cory Dunn scored unassisted at 1:46 of the third. Bryce Van Horn then scored a power-play goal at 11:34 to bring the Bulldogs to within 3-2.

Steven Phillips had two assists to join Sacco with a multi-point game for the Green Knights.

The Bulldogs outshot the Green Knights 34-31, including 17-10 in the third and overtime periods combined. T.J. Black made 30 saves for the Green Knights, while Kevin Entmaa made 28 stops for Adrian.

Adrian was 1-for-4 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-6.
