Green Knights Fall in Nicolet National Bank Tournament Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College never led and lost an 80-48 decision to UW-River Falls in the championship game of the Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

River Falls jumped out to an 11-2 lead in the first six minutes and maintained control throughout. The Falcons led 38-18 at halftime.

St. Norbert opened the second half on an 11-3 run to get to within 41-29 with 15:19 remaining, but would get no closer.

UW-River Falls' Julian Jackson was named Tournament MVP after scoring 19 points, while the Falcons' Austin Heidecker was also named to the All-Tournament Team. Jared Murphy was St. Norbert's lone All-Tournament selection. The College of St. Scholastica's Collin Anderson and Quinn Fischer and Alma College's Cole Kleiver were also named All-Tournament.

The Green Knights shot 31.7 percent (20-for-63) from the floor. Ethan Riniker led St. Norbert with 12 points.

River Falls shot 51.8 percent (29-for-56) from the floor.
