St. Norbert Wins Beloit Triangular

BELOIT - St. Norbert College had several strong performances as the Green Knights won the Beloit College Triangular at Beloit Memorial High School.

The Green Knights piled up 106 team points. UW-Oshkosh was second with 57 points, while Beloit was third with 50 points.

Ben Stolberg won two individual events and was also part of the Green Knights' winning relay. Stolberg won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.71 seconds and the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.71. Stolberg, Jed Galutira, Grant Gibson and Peter Martin won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:18.92.

Martin won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:05.68 and was second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:05.24. Galutira won the 100-yard backstroke in 57.61 seconds and was second in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.95 seconds. Gibson won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.22 seconds.

Alex Cervantez was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.55. Jason Hunt was second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:17.39, while Jarod Meffert was second in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.52 seconds. Jaxsen Schermacher was second in 1-meter diving with 269.15 points.

The 400-yard medley relay of Meffert, Jeffrey Green, Hunt and Cervantez was second in 3:55.95.
