Gardipee Leads St. Norbert at Ripon Opener

RIPON - St. Norbert College junior Kelley Gardipee won two individual events to lead the Green Knights at the unscored Ripon College Red Hawk Opener at Willmore Center.

Gardipee turned in winning times in the 800-meter dash and 1-mile run. Gardipee won the 800 in 2:22.39 and covered the mile jaunt in 5:19.02.

Abby Janto won the 3,000-meter run in 11:18.86. The Green Knights' 4x200-meter relay won with a time of 1:51.60.

Peyton McCauley was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:04.15, while Brianne Barta was third in 1:04.21. Sydney Olund added a second-place showing in the 200-meter dash in 27.87 seconds, while Claire Van Beek was second in the 800-meter run in 2:25.58.

Emma Sweere was second in the shot put at 10.86 meters and finished third in the weight throw at 12.30 meters. Carolyn Neerdaels was third in the 1-mile run in 5:41.69. Anna Giblin finished third in the 60-meter hurdles in 10.15 seconds.

The Green Knights also competed at the Rose-Hulman Institute Friday Night Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.

Joyana Tarsa second in the 1-mile run at 5:26.22 seconds, while Alex Bruley was fifth at 5:33.45. Sarah Duff was third in the 400-meter dash at 1:01.53.

Hailey Ruplinger was fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:29.47. Sarah Wiseman was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.84 seconds and fifth in the high jump at 4 feet-8 1/4 inches. Katherine Wanie was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.85 seconds and sixth in the 200-meter dash in 28.11 seconds.

Lauren Rottier was seventh in the 200-meter dash in 28.27 seconds. Hayley Winzenried finished seventh in the high jump at 4-8 1/4.

At the Indiana University Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., Maddie LeBrun was seventh in the 400-meter dash in 58.96 seconds.
