St. Norbert Salvages Split With Sabres

DE PERE - St. Norbert College bounced back to gain a series split with Marian University with a 3-1 victory in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
Following a scoreless first period, the Green Knights scored a pair of power-play goals in the second stanza to take control.
KJ Wallace scored her sixth goal of the season with her marker at 12:16. Lauren Michael increased her goal total to nine with her score at 15:15.
Jessica Schlaff then matched Michael for the team lead in goals by scoring her ninth of the season with a solid shot at 8:06 of the third period. The Sabres got a goal back just 26 seconds later on a goal by Hannah Koniar. Both of those goals came in a 4-on-4 situation.
Marian would have two minutes of extra-attacker time late in the game but couldn't draw closer.
Rebecka Olsson had two assists for the lone multi-point game for the Green Knights.
St. Norbert outshot Marian 27-22. Anais Aurard made 21 saves for the Green Knights, while Lindsey Strainis turned away 24 shots for the Sabres.
St. Norbert was 2-for-7 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-3.
