DE PERE - St. Norbert College wasted little time taking control of its matchup with Grinnell College, pulling away early to win in an 85-38 rout in a Midwest Conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

St. Norbert honored Tilley after the game, who is retiring following the season after 42 years at the helm of the Green Knights. The victory also moved the Green Knights into a fourth-place tie with Knox College with two games to play. The top four teams in the MWC advance to the conference tournament.

The Green Knights had full control throughout, leading 14-1 just over six minutes into the game. Christine Olijnyk and Olivia DeCleene canned 3-pointers during the run. Grinnell got to within nine at 15-6, but St. Norbert grabbed a 20-7 lead after the first quarter.

St. Norbert then opened the second quarter on a 20-0 run, pushing out to a 40-7 lead with 3 minutes left in the half. The Green Knights scored on six consecutive possessions at one point and led 43-9 at halftime.

The Green Knights' second-half margin would get no closer than 34 points.

St. Norbert shot 50 percent (29-for-58) from the floor. Macie Zurfluh led the Green Knights with 21 points, seven rebounds, six assists and six steals. Olijnyk added 12 points. A total of 12 Green Knights reached the scoring column.
