Green Knights Drop Duals In Minnesota

SARTELL, Minn. - St. Norbert College lost a pair of dual matches against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes, falling 9-0 to St. Olaf College and 8-1 to St. John's University.

The Green Knights' lone win of the weekend came at No. 5 singles, when Alex Vandenberg beat St. John's Dylan Fyle 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.

Vandenberg and Luke Andrekus extended Jess Hansen and Hunter Krebsbach to a tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles before succumbing 9-7 (7-4). Porter Beilfuss also lost a set tiebreaker to the Johnnies' Cole Dutko 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 at No. 6 singles.

Against St. Olaf, Vandenberg had St. Norbert's best showing with a 6-4, 7-5 loss to Dez Young at No. 5 singles.
