Green Knights Fall to Nationally Ranked Southern Maine

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College ran into nationally ranked University of Southern Maine and lost a 14-2 decision at Lake Myrtle Park.

The No. 10-ranked Huskies held St. Norbert to four hits. Southern Maine scored led 9-0 after three innings and carried an 11-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning, when the Green Knights scored twice.

Jack Maastricht's two-out double plated Lucas Reynolds, who singled earlier in the inning. Maastricht then came around to score on an error.

Maastricht had St. Norbert's lone extra-base hit and extended his hitting streak to six games.

Seven pitchers toed the rubber for the Green Knights, highlighted by Sam Hunt's 2 1/3-inning relief appearance. Hunt allowed just one hit with no walks while striking out two.
