Triple Jumpers Lead St. Norbert at Carroll

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College had three triple jumpers place in the top five spots in the event to lead the Green Knights at the Carroll University Invitational.

The Green Knights finished sixth out of 13 teams with 50 points. Carroll won the team title with 146 1/2 points, while Carthage College was second with 129 points.

Samuel Fletcher led the Green Knights with a win in the triple jump, springing 42 feet 9 3/4 inches. Braxton Thompson was third at 40-0 3/4 and Travis Heschke was fifth at 39-7 3/4.

Nic Greenlaw won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.52 seconds. Jaxsen Schermacher was second in the pole vault at 14-4 1/2, while Joe Gasick was third in the 800-meter run at 1:59.73. Matt Holloway placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:12.40.

Fletcher was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles at 59.60 seconds, while Heschke was seventh in the long jump at 19-10 1/4.
