Green Knights Win 15 Events at Lawrence Invitational

APPLETON - St. Norbert College rolled to the team title of the Lawrence University Invitational by winning 15 events at Whiting Field.

The Green Knights piled up 116 points to finish well ahead of Ripon College's 59 points.

Kristina Herman won a pair of individual events, taking the shot put at 41 feet 8 1/2 inches and the discus throw at 117-8. Also winning field events were Savanna Smith in the hammer throw (141-8), Lauren Rottier in the high jump (5-1) and Sara DeGroot in the pole vault (10-10).

St. Norbert won both relays. Sydney Zima, Maddie Lebrun, Sarah Duff and Audrey Makope won the 4x100-meter relay in 48.64 seconds, while Graceanne Tarsa, Joyana Tarsa, Alex Bruley and Brianne Barta won the 4x400-meter relay in 4:07.07.

Bruley earned the win in the 1,500-meter run in 4:58.68, while Makope won the 100-meter dash in 12.31 seconds. Graceanne Tarsa finished in 2:20.03 to take the 800-meter run, while Duff finished the 200-meter dash in 25.71 seconds to win that event.

Sarah Wiseman covered the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.52, while Haidyn Mueller won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.39 seconds. Morgan McClone won the 400-meter dash in 59.85 seconds, while Elle Dannecker won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 13:01.50.
