St. Norbert Cruises Past Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College scored three times in a seven-minute span to take control and go on to gain a 5-1 win over Illinois College in a Midwest Conference match at England Stadium.
The Green Knights (10-4-2, 3-1-1 MWC) battled the Blueboys in a scoreless match until Max Censky broke through with a goal at the 35:07 mark, with Drake Vandermause assisting. St. Norbert added to its lead when Brandon DiOrio converted a penalty kick at 37:41. Vandermause then registered his first goal of the season off assists from Anthony Pineda and DiOrio at 41:42 for a 3-0 edge.
Tomas Pazos finished off a Lucas Rojas helper at the 64-minute mark for a 4-0 lead. Illinois College scored on a goal by Thomas Saitta at 83:22, but Pazos got the goal back with a finish at 87:03 off an assist by Mitchell Scholz. Pazos now has three goals this season.
St. Norbert outshot Illinois College 27-4 and had a whopping 15 corner kicks to the Blueboys' one. Josh Koleske did not see a shot while working the cage during the first half for the Green Knights, while Matt Pilewski saw just one shot during the second half of action.
