Green Knights Battle Grinnell to Stalemate

GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College fought Grinnell College for 110 minutes but ended with a 1-1 tie in a Midwest Conference match at Springer Field.

The Pioneers took the lead when Cally Carr scored unassisted off a corner kick at the 34:49 mark. St. Norbert responded with a goal before halftime, getting a score from Lexi Galante at 43:36, with an assist coming from Anna Tristani. It was Galante's first goal of the season.

Grinnell held a 7-6 edge in shots in an evenly matched second half. The Pioneers had a 3-0 edge in shots in the first overtime, while St. Norbert had the only shot in the second overtime period. Grinnell held a 17-14 nod in shots for the game and a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

Ally Magiera made eight saves in goal for the Green Knights, while Elizabeth Hunt made seven stops for Grinnell.
