Late Surge Lifts St. Norbert Over Grinnell

GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College got two goals in the final six minutes of action to top Grinnell College 3-1 in a Midwest Conference match at Springer Field.
St. Norbert was nursing a 1-0 lead until Grinnell's Henry Cladouhos tied the match on a goal with 9:56 remaining. The Green Knights would pull back ahead when Drake Vandermause converted a penalty kick with 5:39 to go for his second goal of the season. Seth Boldt then cashed in for the 12th time in 2019 with an insurance goal with 4:16 remaining, with Mitchell Scholz assisting.
Caden Etzel put St. Norbert ahead early at the 13:35 mark, getting his third goal of the season. Boldt assisted.
Grinnell outshot St. Norbert 16-12 while corner kicks were even at eight per side.
Josh Koleske made nine saves in goal for the Green Knights, while Jared Cloutier turned away five shots for the Pioneers.
